Corporate Insolvencies increase again in Q4 2011

Winding up orders and other indicators of distress suggest that the rise will continue into 2012 Retail, Restaurants, Hotels and other consumer-facing sectors are the hardest hit

CMRC in collabroation with CMBOR (Nottingham) is currently analysing the relationship between corporate debt levels and insolvency. In particular we are tracking the performance of private equity backed companies and a large sample of MBO’s during the period 1995-2008.
